The notes field is much larger than the Memo field on a check would allow. We print the Notes field on the stub of the check which is seen in your example does that not serve the purpose for you?
Yes, the notes field is good. It is necessary for me to put info in the memo section on the face of the check per management. They need to see that info when looking at online banking. The check example attached shows what I need.
To be able to do this we would have to add an additional field for the user to enter the Memo information because using the Notes field would not work due to the difference in the field sizes. Therefore the user would have to type information that they want on the Memo line in the new field and what they wanted to print on the stub in the Notes field. I will do some more research on this.
That would be ok if I had to type it in, as it would look more professional. Maybe an "obtain notes" box can come up the same way it does on the cash receipts
